Momma Ducky

There is a momma duck down the alley from work.  Not sure why she decided that was a good place, but guessing she didn't have much of a choice.

Wildlife rescue has been called, I hope that she and her soon to be babies are ok.

My friend's blog - Gluten Free on a Budget

I know a lot of folks that have allergies and intolerance to gluten.  I often think that I would die if I could not eat it, but my friend is such a great chef that I love going to her house and eating her yummy food!

Thus, I wanted to share with you her blog (which you can also find under my blog list), Gluten Free on a Budget.

Check out one of her more recent posts for an Indian dish that I am begging her to make for me. :)  Here is a pic....

Recipes, tips and thoughts on living a gluten free life without missing out and having empty pockets.

Well the rain is back...but the sun is around the corner

It seems that we can't quite get a full week without rain.  Today is one of those rainy days.  But I am enjoying my day very much anyway.  I am sitting on my couch, in the first sweater I knitted...

(an over-sized hoody that I love but is maybe not the most flattering thing in the world.)

The goal today is to finish the thigh high leggings that I have been working on for months!  Hmmm....I think I will get some cocoa soon, too.

Here is the progress of the leggings so far.  I found the patter here at Lion Brand Yarn.

One down and only half way left to go on the other.  I started them last year and have set them down a lot.  But I have been listening to the YarnCraft podcast a lot lately, and that has made me want to get back to the needles.

Even though it has been crazy weather, I am happy to have my beautiful daisies blooming again.  Had to share with you...

Hope you enjoy this wonderful weekend, no matter the weather!

Rain, rain went away...

For a day or two this weekend!  I took every opportunity I could to be outside in the sun (or at least the lack of rain) this weekend.

Weekend travel happened by bike (and yes, it was actually warm enough got me to wear shorts!)

It's these few nice days that I really remember why I absolutely love Oregon and Eugene.  Biking over the Willamette River.

View from the bike path on my way home.

Chickens enjoying their day as well. (BW, the yellow one is broody right now, so she is all puffed up and upset with me though for not letting her sit around all day like a bum! ;)

I hope you have a sunny week!
