Slowly working on my etsy store...

I have been hard at work making new goodies from the old and unwanted stuff of our lives.  But man, to get something to the quality I feel is what is okay to sell is tough work!  But I did get a few new things up that I have to share.  The great thing about making new stuff from old is that I can let my creative juices take me almost anywhere.

Here are the 2 cute little purses I just put up....

And...

I love how they both came out, but gotta say that the pink and green one is my fav of the two...

They are both upcycled from sweaters and have felt appliqués and grosgrain ribbon straps.

I have many more fun creations coming.... Last year I had made a resolution to get the store up and running, which technically I did.  But this year, one of my resolutions is to actually make it a priority and get it really rolling.  (More on resolutions soon. ;)

It always seems...

that there is so much that I want to do and so little time...

Things I have finished...

Winterizing the garden with mulch from chickens and apple tree...

Rearranging the house to give us access to the fireplace again...

A fun purse I made for a friend in congratulations for her new job...

Some of the many things I want to do...

Finish my holiday gift giving list...

Finish an advent calendar (more on this soon)...

Learn new talents whilst making gifts, like maybe something like this....

Get my new Etsy account and business started...

Hope your holiday season is festive, productive and restful all at the same time!

The cutest purse ever!

Ok, well the cutest purse I have ever made I think!  And it is for me! :)  I rarely make stuff for myself, but decided I needed a nice, new purse.  I started this a while ago, but finally had time to finish it yesterday.

It is a pattern from Stitch n' Bitch Nation that I love.  I modified it a little by making it taller and sewing pockets into the liner.  It is great because you have very simple knit pieces for the outside and then a simple fabric liner with plastic canvass in between to hold its great shape.

And I found this cute button that just adds that finishing touch.  I filled it up this morning and I just love it!  And it had just enough room left to throw my current knitting project in to work on while riding the bus to work.

Happy knitting!
